Ah, spillin' my guts
Aug. 29th, 2002 06:24 pm1. What do you do to make things better when you feel sad and/or lonely?
I don't *gah*. I cry and sulk and beat myself up and keep telling myself it will pass, and it does.
2. Are you a "touchy-feely" person? That is, do you like to touch people you don't know that well? And on the flipside of that, do you like being touched by someone you aren't close with?
I don't mind hugs from friends, I realise I take more than I give, I guess that's me not knowing if I'm "allowed" to hug them *shrug*. As for Matt, I could squish or be squished for ages. :)
3. Do you like to have "me" time, time to yourself to be alone and relax? Or do you prefer to just do your own thing with someone else in the room?
*nods*. I am essentially a solitary animal. And seeing I've yet to find someone precisely like me to enjoy the things I do, I will go and do it alone. I also have a tendency to sing loudly and swear alot when I'm alone. :)
4. Generally speaking, how do you feel about the concept of marriage? Are you the marrying type? Do you think the act of getting married means something today or is it simply just "a piece of paper?
I would like to get married sometime. The whole ceremony/pledging your love thing is beautiful and I soooo want to do it eventually. I don't however like how it's become more of a legal issue these days rather than a love one.
5. That said, as many as 25 states have passed legislation regulating who they believe should be the "marrying type." What are your thoughts on the banning of same-sex marriages?
In this day and age you think people would be more open minded. I can rant on and on about the biological implications of stuff but essentially humans are just different. We are capable of abstract thought and hence have completely screwed biology and thrown it out the window in our society. You should be able to marry whoever the hell you love, and if you love more than one person (and all persons involved are okay with the idea) then you should be allowed to marry all of them and live with all of them.
6. If there was one law you had the ability to create or change, what would it be?
The whole legal system is fucked. I would give it a complete overhaul. Or call for anarchy *winks*
7. What would you like someone visiting your blog for the first time to know about you? Now is your chance!
ummmmmm, I wish I wasn't so jaded and dillusioned. *sigh*
