OMG Fic Recs!

gemfyreThere are a lot of awful fics out there. But there are also some absolute pearls. Here are a few of mine.
Eyes of the Jackal by Zeech.
Phantom of the Opera. The first slash fic I read and liked, because it actually has a storyline (you have to read to about chapter 20 before things start getting slashy)! Christine chooses to be free and "send Raoul to his grave", with intentions to return and save him. Christine never returns, Erik doesn't kill Raoul. Both feel thwarted and lonely.

One of the first Batman fics I read. Yeah, it gets slashy, but the characterisation is awesome.

The link is to all her fics, scroll down to Rumplestiltskin for links to all the chapters. Her Wayne/Crane one shots aren't bad either.
Long, gratitious Wayne/Crane (that's Batman and Scarecrow) fic. Great characterisation, hot sex, gets a bit violent, but then again, this IS Batman. And an awesome scene involving a toaster and a glass of orange juice.
I'll Be Yours (A Love Story) byzolac_no_miko
She really needs to write more of this, so far there are only two chapters. Tim Drake is terribly smart and essentially stalked Bruce and Dick for a while in canon anyway. So what if he really WAS a stalker, and a little too obessed with Dick Grayson?
Freaks - The Virus/The Stinger byoverlithe
Wow, this one isn't slashy (apart from one scene of Joker being obsessed with Bats, but that's canon anyway). What if Batman and the Joker actually did have superpowers? This is kinda terrifying.
Freaks - The Infection byoverlithe
A 3 part sequel to The Virus/The Stinger. Well researched, well written and somewhat terrifying.

The Connor Wars by CJ Carter
Virtual 3rd and 4th season of Sarah Connor Chronicles. Written in script format. Very well researched, but a bit complex at times. If you were wondering what the heck was meant to happen in season 3, here's a suggestion. I still haven't finished this, I'm about halfway through season 4.
White Rabbit byirony_rocks
At the end of Sarah Connor Chronicles John found himself about 25 years into the future. So Sarah takes up his role for the years where he is missing until they catch up with each other again. This one gives me chills. About the only issue I have with this is Derek/Sarah pairing, but you can't have everything.

A series of drabbles involving original characters set in the future Terminator universe.
