Kudos to anyone who can tell me the relevance of the above statement to the post below.

I have become a complete jewellery whore. I discovered a few eBay stores in W.A. that sell the most awesome funky jewellery. And I have ended up with a load of earrings (mostly beads on tigertail wire), an anklet, a hematite bracelet, 3 hematite necklaces (still to arrive) and a beaded tigertail necklace.

Due to all this new jewellery I decided to make a holder to hold (duh) and display it all. I used the cardboard from a cereal box, punched holes in the top to tie a ribbon through and used a drawing pin to punch holes for the earrings. The hooks for the necklaces/bracelets are paper clips. Pretty darn clever if you ask me. :)

Here is the holder

The earrings (the ones on the bottom 2 rows are the new ones).

And the necklaces/bracelets. A lot of these are old or grotty, they're really just holding pendants. Some of the bracelets also need extra links put in before I can wear them.

The holder unfortunately has a few problems. It bends at the top. I need something along the top to reinforce it. Any ideas of what could be easy to do and accessible? I used blu-tac for Version 1.0 (a much smaller one that just held the new earrings). But with this one all the studs are at the top and the poles stick out too far to allow me to stick it down with blu-tac.

And once I added the necklaces the sticky hook on my door on which I had it hanging decided to give up and fell down. I now need to find some extra strong sticky hooks because being a crap rented place I can't put in any useful additions to the room that might actually help me keep it TIDY! (I'd LOVE to put up some wall shelving, but nooo).

Also, digging among all my old jewellery I found a lot of old pendants, brooches, earring hooks sans earrings and stuff. I'm seriously considering buying a few supplies off eBay, investing in a pair of needlenose pliers and making my own jewellery to sell.

I've been added to the list of one of these George Bush spammers.

Never heard of them? They start an obviously pro-Bush journal then add as many people as they can, quite often people who would love to slap ol' Dubya around with a 2x4.

I'm not sure WHY they do it but eh, if they start trolling my journal I'll take action.
