Duh! :)

Matt ([livejournal.com profile] firvulag) went downstairs to get breakfast. That was pretty usual, he's usually hungry before me. He came upstairs a few minutes later and gave me a large flat object hidden under a towel. Well at least he made an effort at wrapping it! :) It was a 12 muffin tin and a roasting/lasange pan. I can see an alterior motive here but I would have cooked those things anyway. :)

I went downstairs a little later to get my breakfast and... of course find that Matt is cooking me breakfast. What a sweetie. Two sausages, a pile of potato smilies perfectly stacked and a fried egg. Very cute. I proceeded to destroy the stack to put vinegar on it. :)

Watched a bit of Bathurst, synchronised spinning out and 20 second panel beating and read a bit of The Face. Then headed home.

When I got home mum and dad piled on the pressies. I got - car seat covers, Life of Mammals (yay!), a new bag which I need seeing as my current one is falling to bits, it's smaller tho (which really is a good thing) but I need to do a cull so all my stuff fits in it. Also got some new sunnies which were also needed seeing as I scratched up and banged out of whack my current sunnies a few days ago. They are tortishell, just how I like 'em.

Got an e-card from [livejournal.com profile] odindeathcrush. Thank you!! Twas very cute. :)

Couldn't find Phantom ([livejournal.com profile] phantomterror). Matt arrived and we bummed around for a bit until Kitty ([livejournal.com profile] riverstar) and Paul [livejournal.com profile] arkem) rocked up.

Kitty got me a satin nightie... typical. But nice, I'm sure Matt will enjoy it as much as me. Paul got me Plague Species!! What a legend, I really want to read that book but it looks like it will be depressing. Jared ([livejournal.com profile] jassa) arrived not long after. Got some chips and mead and hopped in the spa.

The mead was off. :( It was cloudy and acidic and started sedimenting. A bit of a worry but Kitty and I drank most of it anyway. Lazed in the spa for a while and worried about where Phantom was. I'd checked all her usual hidey holes and couldn't find her. I'm sure my eczma, which is really nasty on my fingers at the moment, just loved the chlorinated water. It started raining while we were in the spa. Warm spa, cold rain, interesting.

Mum had cooked up some wedges so we got out to eat them. Mum asked me to come upstairs so I did and see Phantom plonked right in the middle of their bedroom floor. I guess she visited another dimension or something for a while because she just appeared. Weird cat. JP ([livejournal.com profile] japester) got here a bit after bearing gifts of chocolate and we ate that and dip and turkish bread. (Too much food!) Also had a couple of cocksucking cowboys. Mmm butterscotch schnapps... Eventually all sat around the TV and watched Simpsons then Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Somewhere in there we decided to actually have dinner which was just sausages and bread. Towards the end of the movie Karen ([livejournal.com profile] kowren) and Terry ([livejournal.com profile] terrycat) rocked up. Legendary. K got me sea monkeys!! *squees and bounces* Ate apricot cheesecake and went back in the spa.

The spa was cold!! (Well 32 degrees, but when it's cold out and you're expecting 38 it's freaking cold!) Eventually got mum to see if she could figure out what was wrong. After about 20 minutes of tinkering she got it working! Yay for mum. She got lots of cheers and the spa warmed up nicely. Got up to 38 eventually and we all started cooking. I was all floppy and could barely haul myself out. But we managed it.

Dried ourselves off. Chatted a bit, then everyone left 'cuz it was late and tomorrow is Monday. I was tired anyway so I didn't mind.

Twas all good. I had a shower and will fall into bed after posting this.

Maybe I should turn 24 more often. :)

Album cover challenge

60 album covers. Guess the artist and title.

Most of them I recognised but I only really knew about 10 maybe.

Anyone know where I can get sea monkey stuff (food, accessories etc) in Australia??

The website and 99% of the book info is U.S. based.

I can order stuff via mail. But that requires a money order which is $3 pfflt.

If I pass everything this semester I will have broken a trend.

First year I failed organic chem and second year I pulled out of EPAL. Hopefully this year I can pass all three but as usual I have second semester syndrome.

All I want to do is go out and socialise and have fun and my brain just goes pffflt at the mere thought of work. Hence I've had a very academically unproductive study break. I tried to do some of the genetic stuff today but my brain ran screaming, it hates logic puzzles. I know the concepts, but I can't solve the actual problems.

So, it would seem that whether life is good or bad I will still get second semester syndrome. Darnit.

The eczma on my finger is really nasty at the moment, all sore and weepy. Trying not to aggravate it too much which is really hard when it's on your hand.

Karaoke tomorrow, prizes apparently. Hehe, I rock, I can get prizes. :p

I figure out what I wanna wear and I can't FIND the bloody thing.

I bet mum threw it out or something. I hate it when random items of my clothing go missing.
