The bottom one I think is dead, quite probably killed by the top one. Top of the left dogs ear is 10cm across roundabouts, just to give some scope of size. Dad just vacuumed them up because mum was terrified and almost didn't go down the stairs (this pic is at the top of the stairs) to go to work (she did tho, wolf spiders are common here and usually we just let them stay where they are, these two are of exceptional size).

By the way, the painting is of my Nanna's 3 Tibetan spaniels. These dogs were cause for her house's foyer to be plastered in show ribbons. All three were champions. On the left is Manny, the cute yellow one is Pup and the other is Peke. They all died many years ago, but I knew 'em well. One day they sat like that near the gate and dad managed to snap a photo, such a good shot that it was turned into a painting.

I start this Latin Dance thingy tonight, I hope it's good. I hope it's what I'm expecting, tho I really don't know what to expect.

Kind of a pity, ice skating is starting up again too this week. Matt will be going (lucky sod got someone to pay his way as usual). I wish I could too, but I will have to wait four weeks. Matt and I met at ice skating. It's bloody freezing in there and I hafta rug up totally but it has many fond memories. The foray to Melville Maccas afterwards is even more fun.

The dancing thing better be worth missing 4 weeks of skating for.

I never thought there'd be a time when I wanted to be in heels. Next week I will wear my platforms. Like ballroom, salsa is all on the balls of the feet, sandals were no good for that so I got rid of them, but bare feet on carpet = nasty friction, hence sore feet.

Interesting dancing. Teacher was about a quarter hour late so we went overtime. At the start I was beginning to regret spending the $35. She stuck on some Latin music and started dancing around and just expected us to follow her, half the time I couldn't even hear what she was saying, which wasn't helped by her pretty strong accent. But after a while we all seemed to fall in and she started to actually show us the steps a little better. Of course I fell into doing some rumba and samba steps, because that's what I'm used to doing to that kind of music, but hey, it kinda fits in.

I will hafta get back into proper latin ballroom dancing. This stuff is okay, but the steps are like what you'd just do in a nighclub anyway, nothing special about it like ballroom which has some precise nifty steps but can still be a theme and variation.

And as a sidenote, Subway feta cheese is more like parmesan.

Baths with carb soda are good, but hazardous. It makes everything slippery so you hafta be careful not to break your neck when exiting the tub.

Anyways, what I really need is a sensory deprivation chamber. These chambers are soundproof and lightproof. They have water in them with a certain concentration of salt that closely matches cellular fluid and makes you float. The water is kept at body temperature. In other words, you lose all your senses. It's supposed that 10 minutes in one is like a good night's sleep. I always have trouble blotting out sound when I'm trying to sleep, therefore I don't think I sleep as well as I could. If I could get a good refreshing sleep in a mere half hour I'd be home free to keep up with everyone else, and maybe even get ahead. It'd be great.

I loves Snopes. This tale is the kinda thing I dream about. About the best I can manage is selling a book I bought for 10c for $2 on eBay, that is a 200% markup you realise?
