There is a guy crashing about on our roof. I think he might fall thru.

But the air con is working again anyway :)

I bet $6
only bet to come in was Media Puzzle for a win, so I get my $6 back

I've been thinking about Zylky. Still no phone calls and I'm really doubting I'll ever get him back *teary*.

Matt bought him for me at Dubbo Zoo a few days after my backpack and the around $1000 of stuff inside was stolen from our tent. The trip to Dubbo was a surprise for me and Zylky provided out main source of entertainment on the way home.

He's been pretty much everywhere with me since. I know he's only a beanie toy but he kind of became a pet and child. Many of my friends love him as well.

I don't know if I should buy another one if I find one (I think the zoo sells them). It wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't have the sentimental vibe but then again, it's ME who puts that sentimentality there so even tho the material would be new it could still be Zylky, just a new and improved Zylky. I dunno, I'm just trying to affirm the fact that my life does not suck simply because a special cute beanie toy is gone. I just wish he was back tho.

And on a different note. That Whole Of The Moon song that's always being played on the radio, I really like it, but I thought it was an old song, but considering the rotation it's getting recently I'd chance to say it's relatively new. I swear I knew it years ago...

It's good that Damien Oliver won.

Sad too, poor guy.

Here, have a stack of money for winning but oh, you don't have a brother anymore...

*sigh*

See I'm not just thinkin' 'bout me
This whole planet could use you E.T.
(something something something)
I guarantee you could be president

E.T. come live with me
And if you get lonely just phone home
E.T. come and live with me
I'll make you so happy you'll never want to leave...

Now where the heck did THAT come from??

I pictured a rainbow
You held it in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw the plan
I wandered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon

You were there at the turnstiles
With the wind at your heels
You stretched for the stars
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon

I was grounded
While you filled the skies
I was dumbfounded by truth
You cut through lies
I saw the rain-dirty valley
You saw Brigadoon
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon

I spoke about wings
You just flew
I wondered, I guessed and I tried
You just knew
I sighed
But you swooned
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon

With a torch in your pocket
And the wind at your heels
You climbed on the ladder
And you know how it feels
To get too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon

Unicorns and cannonballs,
Palaces and piers,
Trumpets, towers, and tenements,
Wide oceans full of tears,
Flags, rags, ferry boats,
Scimitars and scarves,
Every precious dream and vision
Underneath the stars

You climbed on the ladder
With the wind in your sails
You came like a comet
Blazing your trail

Too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon

It just sounds like something I heard at least 12 years ago, maybe earlier. I love the sound, I love the imagery of the lyrics. I would say that today it has become my fave song of the moment.
