That's gotta hurt
Apr. 9th, 2003 09:33 pmLife of Mammals again :)
I hope carnivores wasn't last week. I would hate to have missed that.
This week was herbivores. Herbivores have eyes on the sides of their heads, so they have 360 degree vision and can spot predators easier. Problem is because of this you don't have as good straight ahead vision.
Great footage displaying this. Cheetah chasing... I think it was a Kudu. Cheetah almost catches it and takes a swipe, Kudu trips. Kudu gets up again, takes a few more strides and "oof!!" right into a tree. Cheetah wins.
I couldn't help but laugh. I've always been on the cats side.
I need a holiday, caravan, fishing, walks on beach, walks through bush, maybe even tenting, crabbing, relaxing. Anyone wanna fund it??

Date: 2003-04-13 06:58 am (UTC)Kudu - a type of middle sized antelope
Dibbler - a type of antechinus/phascogale. Hehe, you're more confused now eh? Let's just say it's a small carnivorous/insectivourous marsupial.
Serval - a smallish African cat, somewhere between housecat and cheetah size, with long lanky legs and cheetah like markings.
