What an interesting - and askew - day

Go into town with Warwick and Matt - beg for quiz night prizes and use voucher to buy loads of licorice from Darrel Lea.
Take train home.
Go to Bayswater Bird Sancturary for a bit.
Continue on to my parents - coo over Phantom and burn CDs.
Come home.
Actual Plan
Go into town with Warwick and Matt - beg for quiz night prizes and use voucher to buy loads of licorice from Darrel Lea.
Matt uses the other voucher to purchase much chocolate as well.
Matt and Warwick leave - I wander around to look at a few shops
Good Sammys has many pairs of Docs but none in my size - not like I have the money anyways.
Crazy Cow has a stall in that chocolate shop! I try the lemon cheesecake fudge and learn that they will only be there until Sunday - how sad.
I head towards the train station and outside of Crazy Clarks I realise
I've forgotten to bring my keys.
Bugger.
I get my phone to ring someone - not exactly sure who because I don't know the MARS rooms number. But of course my phone being the piece of shit that it is has a dead battery - I'm not gonna call anyone on this phone anyway.
Hrm... what to do? what to do?
I think for a little and decide to pay mum a visit at RAC - I heard that they were moving location soon - I hope they're still there.
Yep, they are. Mum is surprised by my arrival, but relieved when she learns that all I've done is left my keys at home. I've since figured I'll ring the Guild and get the number for the MARS room. Turns out mum's about to go on lunch break anyway so she lets me use the phone book and mail room phone and I Guild puts me through the MARS room and Matt replies.
Just about then it dawns on me to take a bus to uni and grab a set of keys, because no way Matt's gonna drive 'em back up. I just hope that had he had petrol and not had things to do that he would have.
Annnyyway - I tell mum I have my voucher book on me and she decides she'll shout me lunch at Old Papa's. Neat.
So we go there and it's busy as heck being lunch hour and all. And it seems like they still only have one cook on for lunch hour because mum goes up and asks twice just to get told that our baguette and foccacia are "coming". She has to go back to work soon. Eventually she leaves because her lunch break is over. About 5 minutes later I finally get our lunches and take them back to RAC.
I then toddle off to the CAT bus station and the bus leaves RIGHT as I get to it. Bah. Seven minutes to next bus. Quicker and healthier to walk - so I do. I sit down in that little park behind the facade of some building and feed a very game seagull my eggwhites - I wonder if he realises he's a kinda cannibal doing that - I doubt he cares. This is one very bold bird. One time he gets so close that his feathers brush me as he quickly flies away a bit. Also notice a male and female Peewee wandering around. And of course pigeons.
After lunch I take a look at Lincraft and realise that this is the spot for jewellery findings. But there is only a tiny bit of tigertail and usual it's cheaper to buy a bulk lot off eBay - by the way, because I couldn't get home I missed a very nicely priced lot of multi-coloured tigertail on eBay. Also scope out Toys R Us. Nothing new in the pony department - just a tampered with Razzaroo. No sea monkey stuff that I can find.
I head over to the bus port and see some moron getting in the face of security guys who seem to be keeping him from going up the elevator.
Head down to uni. See many different cormorants on the river along with pelicans and at least four swans - which is interesting. Also see a nondescript tern over the Narrows Bridge.
Once I get to uni I check into the Lonregan labs for the disk I left there on Friday - not expecting to find anything and being pleasantly surprised to find it sitting on the shelf under another abandoned disk.
Head to the MARS room - read the Metior - then get sucked into the MARS couch and snooze for about half an hour. The MARS couch looks dodgy but it's hella comfortable.
Eventually I wake up and decide to toddle off home. Grab keys and multirider off Matt.
Stop off at jewellery stall at Market Daze to ask where she gets her findings - she recommends eBay. She also lets me know that I've lost a stone of my Magic (that's what the designer named them - they aren't actually magical) earrings. Bummer - hopefully I can find another and replace it.
The train is of course packed because it's rush hour.
And now I am home with stuff to do like write this entry and do those last job applications and list stuff on eBay.
Hopefully I can maybe get up to my place on Saturday - suffering Phantom withdrawals!!
Oh yeah - and lugging around 1.5 kilos of licorice and chocolate all day is heavy!
Man, I think I need a pedicure and foot massage.
