Writer's Block: Dream On

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I used to always have dreams involving amusement parks. And always something would go wrong, like I couldn't go on a certain ride, or I just couldn't get to a ride or something.

I also often dream about volcanoes (usually in weird places, like my bedroom), or other various disasters natural and unnatural. These aren't bad dreams, I guess I have them because I'm fascinated by the disastrous. They are exciting dreams.

Come to think of it, I barely ever have what I'd consider a nightmare, most are just adventures, which may be scary at times. I'm a big fan of dreams. :)

I don't tend to have (or at least I don't remember having) nightmares either. I don't remember any particular recurring dreams, though I think I may have some associated with games sometimes (had one to do with Restaurant City on Facebook the other morning)

I'm still undecided as to whether the two dreams where I almost died were nightmares or not. In one I got shot in the head and I felt my ear turn to mush, and I fell forward onto the ground and passed out... I didn't wake up, the dream just ended.

The other I was in a boat that had capsized. I woke up from that to find to my alarm that I'd been holding my breath.

I have annoying dreams if I'm asleep, and I need to go to the toilet. In my dreams I am looking for a toilet but I never find one, or the ones I find are grotty and gross. Or people will keep walking in on me, or the toilet won't work etc etc. They are frustrating and annoying dreams, so I try not to drink too much before bed.

I get them too!! All the time.

I'm kinda glad I can never find a place to go in the dream, because I think that would mean wetting the bed. I always end up waking up, realising I still haven't gone and using the real life toilet.

So true. I didn't used to have these dreams, until I had a peeing dream in my mid teens that didn't take all these measures to stop me actually peeing and I did actually wet the bed.

Ever since then I've never once had a dream where peeing wasn't a horrible adventure. It's good, because it prevents you actually going to the toilet, but I'd much prefer just waking up than having these long annoying dreams. :)
