That bloody referendum

I know when it is.
I know where to go if I want to vote early (too late for that now).
I know where I can "drive in vote" (nowhere nearby).

What I can't find out, even on the damn electoral commission website is WHERE do I go to vote today!! They make these things compulsory then give you no information.

There's a way to search for polling stations by your address on the website when I looked last week. WAEC Polling places search

Any good?

Except it now appears to be broken and gives me Joondalup when my area is Willagee.
Safest way is probably nearest primary school.

Thank you!!

Wow, the nearest places for us to vote are on the other side of Wanneroo Road. So much for a 5 minute walk to the local school.

It worked for you? Because it's giving me rubbish currently. Suggesting Bassendean or Joondallup when I'm in Willagee

Well I live in Stirling and it's suggesting District of Nollamara - but Nollamara is relatively close.

Hrm.

I know Balcatta Primary School is just up Cedric Street a bit, maybe we'll go there first.

When I put in your address it suggested Nedlands to me. The whole thing seems completely borked!

[identity profile] gemfyre.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Lol yeah I tried Balcatta District and it gave me Nedlands.

Then I checked my enrollment to discover that yes, I am in Balcatta District so I clicked the polling places link there and it gave me places in West Swan!

And they expect everyone to go to a polling place in their district and vote.

you can drive in vote? WHere? *is lazy*

I guess the advantage of living in one place for ages is knowing where the polling place is--Carlisle PS for me, one street away. (even though it's actually in Kewdale. *eyeroll*)

please note you can also do an absent vote at any polling place. I should know I'm currently working at a polling place!

when i put in our address, it came up with a map of nearby polling centres. Accurate enough, I think.
It doesn't have the stirling district, though, which is what I would expect us to be in. *shrug*

I don't think there is a Stirling district any more. All moot until next election now anyway.

just find a local school or hall.

i went to swan view shs to vote. but then i knew that was where to go as i've lived her for a while.
but all the schools in the area are polling places AFAIK!
