I hate the human propensity to put fashion or propriety ahead of comfort. Because of it I have to wear goddamn long black pants and a 3/4 sleeve button up shirt today. Because it's "professional" to be hot and uncomfortable.
My principal would rather I wear shoes that leave me footsore by the end of the day than wearing Crocs, in which I can walk around in for the whole day with no problems. (and get no smelly feet or tinea).
If it makes you feel any better, I'm doing the same thing. It's 32 over here, and I'm currently wearing brown suit pants, and a 3/4 length sleeve brown shirt. I left the jacket at home cause luckily I don't have any client appointments today, yay!
I am actually wearing a skirt today - but they're not so good for me either because my legs rub together and it aggravates my eczema. I'd rather wear shorts.
And even then I can only wear certain skirts and dresses. I have two appropriate skirts and no appropriate dresses.
