Song meme - now with CLUES!

Step 1. Put your playlist on random.
Step 2. Post a line from the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3. Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly. NO GOOGLING.

I'm giving some clues now.

1. I remember when he was your boss, I remember him touching your butt - This guy has a penchant for tophats
2. At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet and a freight train running through the middle of my head - Bruce Springsteen - I'm On Fire (live version)
3. Don't get off the bus 'cause there ain't nothin' for ya here - An old 'grunge' song that's pretty obscure
4. It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things - Kermit The Frog - It's Not Easy Being Green
5. Take the beauty take the tears, this sin soaked heart and make it yours - OMG, it's a Christian band! Matt actually got this, but he's not playing
6. Beckons you into his web of sin - It's from a Bond film people!
7. If they ask who's in the picture with me - Hey this is one the MP3s my mum downloaded, even I don't know the song
8. Slide your feet up the street bend your back, shift your arm then you pull it back - The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian
9. She needs him, that's why she'll be back again - Pearl Jam - Better Man (live version)
10. Then in a flash you changed your mind again - Sam has guessed that's it a John Farnham song. It's not one I know well either.
11. You've been living underground, eating from a can - U2 - Mysterious Way (the MP3 says this version was by KMFDM, but I don't think it's them, it's certainly not U2)
12. Well people talk about me baby - Steve Miller Band - The Joker (a cover version by Lisa Mitchell from Australian Idol)
13. Now I've got this sinking feeling, everyone seems to be leaving - Another old 'grunge' song. But this is way to upbeat to be classed as grunge really.
14. Am I strong enough to see it through go crazy is what I will do - Big disco hit, covered by an 80's bombshell.
15. Chippin' around kickin' my brains 'round the floor, these are the days it never rains but it pours - Two British blokes got together to record this.
16. You bet your life it is oh you bet your life - Tori Amos - Cornflake Girl
17. We slip and slide as we fall in love - Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough (live version)
18. So I took a big chance at the high school dance - Aerosmith - Walk This Way (the MP3 was the original, before RunDMC got involved.)
19. I don't have to run around, I don't have to stay out all night - Joss Stone - Some Kind Of Wonderful
20. Now all I wanna do is to exit - Really annoying song from the 90's. Appeared on a JJJ Hottest 100.
21. Cant see through this veil across my heart, over you - Cheap Trick - The Flame
22. You're my world, my heart, my soul - Trisha Yearwood - How Do I Live (I accepted LeAnn Rimes, the song is the same).
23. I'm an honorary Sean Connery - Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue - Kids (And on listening to the entire MP3 I realise my version doesn't have Robbie's little monologue on the end!)
24. Its hardly worth debating, the people are frustrated - Powderfinger - The Day You Come
25. Hope is somewhere ahead, shining brightly, but the past is always following close behind - Sam and Jakie guessed Jon Bon Jovi. All I can say is that they're very close - think laterally!

Have you Googled?

Interesting that you have the song name right but no, the song is not by Bon Jovi.

Re: 25 and 15

[identity profile] rodcub.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
My recollection is that it was done by both Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.

And no, I didn't google. I just assumed they got Bon Jovi as you said it wasn't John Bon Jovi.
