Anyway, it is old, should probably be condemned and has 3 bedrooms and a ridiculously huge backyard for $140 a week (for Perth, this is ridiculously cheap, which is why we haven't moved despite it being a dump). I pay half that and don't even notice (now that I am working).
I lived there on my own for 6 months when Luke moved out for a bit. Was paying $130 a week then, and just barely managing it with full youth allowance and rent assistance. Look about on the net; I'm sure there's a handy dandy thing somewhere to tell you what percentage of your paycheck should be your rent limit.
Also, I'll ask Luke when I get home what his Mum used to charge for rent when she owned a place there. He reckons it was the nicest house in the town, too. Pity she sold it; you might have been able to rent it, heh.
just reread that, and it might have been unclear... could barely manage it with no job and only centrelink payments. Nowadays I would probably be pretty ok.
