Greycat

Is currently sitting on a chair under the kitchen table.

Yes, I was able to pick him up quite easily and bring him inside. He wandered around a bit sniffing and looking very wary, then he jumped up on the seat and settled in. I've been able to pat and scritch him without any trouble at all.

I think he's tolerating me now.

I'd say he more than tolerates you, I'd say you have a cat :)

I've never met a cat that hasn't taken to a litterbox when shown one. It's pretty instinctual with them.

Phantom doesn't have a litterbox, she can go out as she pleases during the day.

She had a litter box, but her habit is to excavate about 5 large holes, and use the last one and not fill in the previous holes. So a litter tray didn't really suffice, she couldn't dig enough holes or big enough holes so we just ended up with litter all over the laundry and her going elsewhere anyway. Hey, at least she tried.
