w00t! Which job is this?

Also I know what you mean on the police clearances... I keep having to get the rotten things every five minutes for teaching pracs. Luckily for me, Transperth decided we all needed clearances with Smartrider coming in... and they paid for them, too. So I handed them a copy and kept the original for the Ed Dept. ;)

Also... at least now they are instant. You used to have to fill out a form, send a check, and wait six to eight weeks. I was pleasantly surprised this time when the coppers just punched a few buttons on the puta, printed a page signed it and handed it over, heh.

It's at Pickford's in Welshpool. Archiving and data entry and stuff like that. Hey! It's a job!

Yeah, I was told at 3:30 I needed a police clearance, at that time I was still in the city and had to take a train back to Bassendeen then go home to grab my Birth Certificate (which it turned out I didn't need and wasn't valid anyway cuz it was a photocopy). I had to drive all the way to Midland station because they're open 24 hours. So glad it's an instatnt thing, now I have my shiny police clearance.

Sounds cool. Full time, part time, casual? Do they need anyone else? Do you have to talk to customers?

(I am so over customer service right now. I am about to go postal, seriously. See icon.)

Full time.
Not sure.
It would seem not! I find out more on Monday.

Pickfords has the government common use contract for offsite records storage. We send them lots of boxes of files that are awaiting destruction but that we have to keep for usually another 6 years. There will be lots of moving dusty boxes around and looking for files i would imagine. Good luck. I'm sure you will get it. Hope it wont drive you mad.

If it's for work claim it as a tax deduction?

[identity profile] gemfyre.livejournal.com 2006-03-10 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Not sure if that'll work or not. I do know the work won't reimburse for it. But the Job Network may. ;)
