It's so far away!!
I've only been as far north as Jurien Bay & as far south as Bunbury.

I've been there twice (87 and 1990).

Some of my fondest memories.

Been all up the coast to Broome, and the inland road up to there as well.

Been all around the south-west - to Albany and Esperance.
Been to Kalgoorlie.
Been to Adelaide, been to Melbourne (but I was 4 years old the last time). Been across NSW to Dubbo, Port MacQuarie, Coffs Harbour and back again to Adelaide.
Been to Mildura and surrounds.

All by car. I LOVE driving holidays, I love travel. Yes I am nuts. :)

persoanally I wasn't too fussed on broome. beaches that it is not reccommended you swim in, lots of chinese food.... the backpackers was one of the best though. they had a good sense of humour at the YHA and there are always the most interesting people in backpackers

Margaret river however.... which I have just driven back from

Broome is a town about 4000km north of Perth (where I live). I've been there twice when I was a kid and am absolutely smitten with the place.

Was talking to a guy on IRC who is going up there, hence the sudden longing.

not quite 4000... I think it is about 3 days drive, depending on which route, you can take it out to 4-5 depending on where you want to stop and how fast you drive

We took about 5 days. But then again I was 7 the first time and 10 the next so still a kid and dad likes stopping A LOT.

We also saw a lot on the stops so it was all good.

This site says its 2422km.
I also found a site saying 2350, but it seemed to round a bit...

Okay so I meant 2000.

Maybe I was thinking of Sydney.
