Is there anyway to remove yourself from someone else's friends list??

Can people see your posts only if you are on their friends list, or if they are on yours??

*confuzzled*

There is one person I badly want to censor. All they are doing is giving me nasty vibes.
And no don't worry, it's not a pony person.

help anyone??

what you can do is go delete them from your friends list and they wont be able to see anything you put if its a friends only journal.

Anyone (LJ users or not) can view your public posts. If you designate your security level as "Friends" then only the people listed on YOUR friends list can view that entry. Unfortunately there's just no way to ban a specific person from viewing your entries, all you can do is make everything a "friends" entry.

LJ is nonsensical like that; I think a "block user" feature would be a great idea. But alas, there is none.

You can do what I've done and make all your entries private or friends-only--it can take a long time since you have to do each one separately, but it's faster if you have a web client to use. And also, if you wanted to have them on your friends list but make them unable to read your entries, just make a friends group including everyone but them and make all entries custom-friends-only.

Unfortunately, no. I don't like random people reading my entries either. If everyone who you want to read your entries has a livejournal, then make all your entries default to "Friends Only". And of course the LJ Windows programs allows you to select specific friends to view your post is "friends only" isn't good enough =)

I would do this, but there are one or two of my friends without LJs, and they won't be able to read my journal if I make it friends-only as a default =(

People have your posts in their journals "friends" section if they have listed you as a friend. If you list them as a friend and they don't list you, they won't see your entries in their friends list, but can still view them from your journal (this is what I do with several people's journals - if they write more than two entries a day on average, I jut visit their LJs myself and don't have them as friends, because they flood my friends list and I can't read anyone else's recent posts).

BTW "Friends-only" refers to your friends only, not people who have listed you as a friend.

That was jut to let you know why you and matt are not on my friends list - it's not because I don't like you guys, but between you, I'd have no room in my friends page to view other entries ^^; As it is, to view the entries for each day I had to change the page value to 40 instead of 20 entries displayed ^^

Hey BJ for a moment I thought perhaps it was me you were referring to but after a quick check on my user info and I notice you still have me added to your friends list, which I am glad for, considering everything.

If it is me, let me know and I'll take you off my friends list.
