Finding Nemo

I finally saw it!!

Sure, I could go on and on about the myths and untruths in it (I mean, reef fish going into the Abyssal zone and not being crushed by the pressure, then being CHASED by an angler fish. Fish that deep do not move fast, their whole strategy is ambush) but yeah, I do realise it's a story, and a cute one at that. Unfotunately too many people are too dumb to realise that.

My only real gripe was the fact that the pelicans were American Brown Pelicans and the seagulls were American too, yellow beaks and feet instead of the red or black of our abundant Silver Gulls. Sheesh, they did everything else right they could have put in the correct bird species.

Heh my Dad, his fiancee and my brother only just saw it too. We went outfor an Indian last night and my Dad comes out withthis classic line "I felt the real flaw in the film was the bit where the fish ate all the eggs - it couldnt have got it's snout in there, and I'm sure they don't even eat eggs, just fish!"

We were like "Okay but the *talking* fish bit - that was all correct and good yah?!"

Would it make you feel better to know that a good chunk of aus. voice talent was done by american pixar developers? Some of the accents drove me batty. LOL there's also an 'anti flushing your fish down the toliet' article called Grinding Nemo.

Still it's a cute movie, even with the typical Disney Mommy killing.

I didn't think that movie was as great as everyone else did... I dunno, some of the stuff kinda creeped me out, especially all the dentist's office plot. I much preferred The Lion King ; ).

As for accuracy - well, I'm sure they did SOME research about the correct species (for animation purposes if nothing else), but they might have discarded the idea of using some native species because they wouldn't be immediately recognizable to a squillion American kids. Just a thought?

Okay now before you get your panties in a knot, this is just a joke, heehee...

smart
You are a smart one. Dear Christ...you're
annoying...You probably take pleasure from
making other people confused. It's not cool
man, it's annoying. If you keep trying to act
smarter than everyone else soon all you'll have
is yourself, because no one wants to be around
someone who makes them feel like an idiot.
Being smart is good, but showing it off isn't.

Why don't people like you?

I haven't seen that movie. I know everyone else has, but I haven't. However, I see your point, and I notice flaws like this in plenty of movies. I can't name any off the top of my head, because it takes me a while to process memory. My brain doesn't work like it used to. Anyways... My mother used to tell me that little kids wouldn't know the difference. Thing is, I was a little kid when I noticed it. :\

haha, I was the same way about the movie! "Hey they could never do that! That would never happen!" It kinda ruined it for me :/ But I loved the sharks "intervention!" That was the best :P
